To us, safety isn’t just vital. It’s personal.
Put simply, we want people to come home safe and well. No ifs, no buts. That mindset shapes how we work every day — looking out for each other, speaking up, and never cutting corners.
We build safety into everything we do — from how we plan and manage risk to how our teams show up on site. And we keep raising the bar, because good enough isn’t good enough when it comes to people.
Our health and safety team

Our five core values
Be safe and well
Never settle
Find the positive
Be real
Make it enjoyable
Be safe and well
We believe work and life are intrinsically linked. This drives our holistic commitment to safety, diversity, and wellbeing. We’re committed to making every day balanced, sustainable, and more enriching.
Our approach to health and safety protects people to the highest possible standard and makes every day more enriching — just like the workplaces we create.
Supporting the wellbeing of our subcontractor community
Mental health challenges are a serious issue in our industry. Construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than from a workplace accident.
Through our partnership with the Black Dog Institute, we provide practical mental health training and support to our subcontractor community — not just our direct employees.
It’s about building awareness, encouraging early intervention, and creating environments where people feel comfortable speaking up.
How we keep sites safe.
Our approach is grounded in strong leadership, clear systems and consistent on-site engagement. This is demonstrated through our track record of consistently exceeding industry safety standards.
“The Auditor was very impressed by the commitment to health and safety and involvement of senior management in the safety programme, and with the management and site management team representatives’ high level of system knowledge and awareness, professionalism, and a commitment to improving site safety conditions”
An Auditor from the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner
Our approach includes:
Rigorous subcontractor prequalification and strict licensing requirements
Mandatory safety training, delivered both on site and online
Structured planning through IPMPs, risk registers and emergency plans
Regular site engagement — toolbox talks, hazard walks and audits
Visible leadership through executive safety walks and workshops
A shared responsibility mindset — everyone contributes to safety, every day
"Safety is at the core of every project we undertake. I am committed to ensuring the site and everyone on it is not only compliant but genuinely protected through a culture of care and accountability. Every team member, contractor, and visitor should feel confident that their wellbeing is our priority. It's not just about ticking boxes — it’s about making sure everyone goes home safe, every day."
