MPA Shines at the Master Builder Awards: Celebrating Excellence in Fitouts

We are thrilled to announce that MPA has achieved remarkable recognition at the recent Master Builder Awards in New South Wales, securing two prestigious awards that highlight our commitment to excellence in building and construction, with QIC Sydney being nominated as a finalist at the Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards 2024.

Award-Winning Projects

Our renovation of the heritage-listed building for Dan Murphy’s The Cellar Martin Place has been honoured with the award for Interior Fitouts: $1 Million - $1.5 Million NSW. This unique space stands out in the Dan Murphy’s portfolio, designed to be a destination for city wine lovers and spirits aficionados.

With more than 2,800 products housed at The Cellar, and 350 of them are so rare the Cellar only stocks one or two of them, the store was designed to appeal to a growing residential population and corporate clientele. The project features a temperature-controlled Icons tasting room, a unique layout and ornate marble columns, stylish fixtures and impressive hardwood floor. The heritage-inspired design is in harmony with the premium range of wines, bespoke spirits and curated beers on offer.

The fitout not only respects the building’s rich heritage but also pays tribute to those affected by the Lindt Café siege through original plaques and a permanent floral tribute, creating a space that resonates deeply with the community.

In addition, our cutting-edge fitout for QIC Sydney was awarded Interior Fitouts: $7 Million - $8 Million NSW, positioning it as a finalist for the upcoming Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards 2024. This project embodies the concept of a workplace of the future, showcasing a light, contemporary, and inviting atmosphere. Featuring high-end materials, acoustic paneling, and elegant finishes, the design narrates the story of QIC while fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment for its occupants.

Feature spaces include the reception/front of house area where the earthy hues invite people in and the high-end tone of the entire space begins (think European pendant light, plush carpet, stone finishes and timber wall panelling), the spacious and stylish breakout/town hall/kitchen, the inviting wellness room, first aid area and gender-neutral bathrooms.
