MPA proud to support PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival alongside Architectus and Slattery
We were proud to support PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival (MFF) for the third-year last week, alongside partners Architectus and Slattery. As part of this partnership, the initiative awards bursaries to emerging First Nations design professionals and creatives taking part in the festival as part of the Pathways Program.
Beyond the joy of coming together with our industry peers, Architectus and Slattery, for such a great program, it was an opportunity to connect our team with our Reflect RAP and wider ESG initiatives, led by Sophie Walsh and Sarah Hogan. We are taking a proactive approach towards making a greater impact by educating our team and community, respecting, improving relationships and opportunities with First Nations peoples, whilst continuing to foster a culture of acceptance and inclusion.
This year, the Emerging MOB In Fashion Runway x Fujitsu was one of the most highly anticipated events at MFF, where the work of the award recipients came to life through fashion and other design components of the festival such as graphic design, staging, hair and make-up.
In 2023, the initiative created 122 jobs for First Nations people in the creative industry – a 16% increase from 2022, so we look forwarding to seeing the success this year’s festival brings.
