At MPA, we’re committed to making a meaningful impact, not just through the spaces we create but through the communities we support.

Fifteen of our team members recently took part in a powerful volunteering day with Redkite, helping to pack 500 care bags for families whose child has just been diagnosed with cancer. We’ve been actively supporting Redkite since 2010, over 15 years, and it’s inspiring to see the ongoing generosity from our team.

Hosted at Disney Studios, the day was full of energy, purpose and heart. Guided by the friendly and passionate Redkite team, we learned how to carefully pack each bag with essentials. Things like toiletries, important documents and other helpful items that families may not have the time or headspace to organise themselves in the shock of receiving a diagnosis.

These Redkite bags are often the very first point of contact a family has with the organisation, and they carry more than just practical value, they’re a first sign that someone is there to help. It was a sobering reminder that every day in Australia, three families hear the words “your child has cancer.” In that moment, Redkite steps in with emotional, financial and practical support that helps families begin to navigate the road ahead.

For the MPA team, the experience was inspiring. Each bag we packed symbolised care and support, something we’re incredibly proud to be part of.

A heartfelt thank you to Redkite for the incredible work you do, and for giving us the opportunity to contribute. And thank you to our MPA volunteers who brought their usual enthusiasm and care to such a meaningful cause.
