Welcoming the Year of the Snake at Luna Lu

We were delighted to host our valued partners and friends for a memorable Lunar New Year celebration at Luna Lu last week, welcoming the Year of the Snake.

In partnership with Hennessy, guests enjoyed expertly crafted pairings of Hennessy with each delectable course. The experience was elevated by the enchanting performance of Luna Harmony, featuring a traditional fan and ribbon dance beautifully accompanied by violin melodies.

Director of Client Relations, Sarah Hogan, reminded our guests of the well-known legend of the Zodiac calendar animals and how they were decided upon by the Jade Emperor. In the story the snake is cunning and tactical, with the Year of the Snake inviting us to think carefully and creatively as we navigate challenges and seize new opportunities.

Sarah spoke to the theme of this year’s Lunar New Year “Within the story of the snake lies the true message of this year –transformation comes when we evolve together, creating strategic partnerships that pave the way for new possibilities.” This message resonated with our guests and valued partnerships as we look toward 2025 and to all of our incredible projects and collaborations in the pipeline.

Alex Zanarini, the National VSOP Hennessy Ambassador and one of Bartender Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Names for 2024, told the story of the 250-year legacy of Hennessy. Alex transported our guests through time, telling stories of how this Cognac House has had significance across the globe and throughout history, introducing them to each new pairing to enjoy with their meal.

The afternoon allowed for many moments of connection and reflection on all the work we have done together and what is to come in 2025. Thank you to all of our guests who attended, we were honoured to share this very special afternoon with you all.
