Verandah Bar and Restaurant
We were engaged by the team at Verandah to reinvent the long-standing dining room and bar area in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
The project brief was to construct a commercial kitchen and luxurious yet casual elegant space, which incorporates the restaurant, bar area and large outdoor terrace.
Highlighting the design integrity throughout, the refreshed space showcases the curved timber joinery, timber and glass bars, feature lighting and acoustic feature ceilings. Mosaic tiles are used throughout the space and are juxtaposed by the stained timber floor. Boasting a jungle vibe, the hanging greenery, which is prominent throughout the space, contrasts the dark timber and rattan finishes.
The open terrace allows natural light to flood the space, which also features booth seating and lounges.
With an accelerated program, MPA reverse engineered the build to expedite the lead-time risks. Works were undertaken in adjacent occupied tenancies, with the team completing out of hours works to ensure the program deadline and proposed design was met.
