A meaningful day with Two Good Co.
Last Thursday, 19 MPA team members came together with Two Good Co for a day dedicated to giving back and supporting women in crisis as part of the #changethecourse movement.
We kicked off the morning with a warm welcome at Eveleigh and an introduction to Two Good’s purpose-driven mission—creating opportunities for women who have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, and trauma through employment, support, and connection. Programs like Work Work continue to provide a pathway toward independence and renewed confidence for the women involved.
Splitting into two groups, our team got straight to work.
In the kitchen, volunteers prepared an incredible 341 nourishing meals to be distributed across shelters in Sydney, directly contributing to both immediate crisis support and ongoing employment opportunities within the Work Work program.
Meanwhile, the second group focused on light maintenance and improvements around the workplace, helping enhance the environment and ensure it remains a safe and welcoming place to work. This included repairing ceiling tiles, fixing the front door, painting and restoring the downstairs kitchen, strengthening shelving in the kitchen, and installing new racking for catering storage and café area.
We were also joined by two incredible partners from our subcontractor community, showing up on a pro bono basis: Mr Water Plumbing generously donated and installed a new hot water unit and Interlink supported by connecting the power supply, ensuring the space is better equipped for ongoing operations.
Midway through the day, we gathered around the Two Good lunch table to share a meal, connect with their team, and reflect on the importance of the work being done. The afternoon continued with shelter meal packing and labelling, ensuring each dish was ready for delivery to those who need it most.
